About Us

Chancellor Designs was founded as a home staging firm in 2007 and we've been building a reputation for creativity and collaboration ever since using our deep bench of experience to bring fresh, thoughtful design to the Pacific Northwest for 15 years.

Ruth Chancellor blazed her own trail in the relatively new industry of home staging which was largely unknown to the masses ("what exactly do you do?"). She had a a truck, some furnishings and a whole lot of grit and grace. Driven by a desire to combine her creative vision, business acumen, and unparalleled work ethic – with a guiding principal of being nice to work with. Today the home staging industry is thriving and we are proud to be an integral part of it.

Our team is customer service oriented with the ability to deliver superb staging services that ensure the final project reaches its vision.

Our mission is that when a project is finished, our clients are delighted with the process as well as the results.

Our Team

Ruth Chancellor

Principal

Since 2007, Ruth has been at the helm of Chancellor Designs, one of the Portland-metro region’s most recognized and respected staging companies. During this time, Chancellor Designs helped builders, developers and homeowners sell thousands of properties. Through the years, the firm became known for delivering beautiful designs and exceptional customer service. Ruth attributes the company’s success to her love of a beautiful environment, experience as a business analyst, interest in real estate and to “just being nice.” Ruth and her husband Randy enjoy traveling, drinking good wine, and enjoying the beauty of the Pacific Northwest with their ever-growing family.

Donna Gunn

general manager

Donna joined Chancellor Designs with over two decades of successful office and employee management. She brings to the table an unparalleled work ethic and a team-player mentality, believing in the power of greeting each challenge with positivity. Outside of the office, Donna enjoys traveling to new places, spending time with her family, and a good Netflix binge.

Tia Morton

Senior Designer

After learning all about color, composition and texture as a floral designer, Tia decided to bring it all together in her position at Chancellor’s staging department. In addition to floral and interior design, Tia has been a farmer on Orcas Island, Washington and worked for celebrated chef Alice Waters. She loves disco balls, R&B music and her cat Bill.

June Lee

Designer

June has always had a deep passion for interior design and creating fresh, innovative spaces. With every project her goal is to inspire, to create a space that tells a story. She believes in quality, service and authenticity. As a “food-enthusiast”, she typically spends her weekends coming up with new recipes and planning her next trip. However, she will never say no to a lazy Sunday in bed with her 3 cats.

Cody Evans

Installer

As a past crew leader for five years at Valvoline, one of 12 siblings, and a father of three boys – Cody is well versed in problem-solving, patience and perseverance. Cody is a great addition to our team. This native Oregonian enjoys working hard, seeing gorgeous homes of all sizes, and going the extra mile for teammates and clients, alike. His fun sense of humor keeps the team smiling on a regular basis. When he isn't making things happen at stages, he enjoys spending time with his wife, sons, and friends.

Brandon Fowler

Installer

As a lead from a local moving company, Brandon is a welcomed addition to Chancellor Designs. Brandon is a people person with a big personality and fits in great with our culture and team. In Brandon’s spare time, he loves to salmon fish with his dad and to simply relax.

Nathan Montoya

Installer

With a variety of skills from his previous roles, as a mover, construction worker, and diesel mechanic – Nathan made a seamless transition to Chancellor Designs. His attention to detail, cheerful demeanor, and can-do attitude makes him an asset to our team. When Nathan isn’t working, he enjoys going on hikes with his girlfriend and their dog, Bazel.
