Chancellor Designs was founded as a home staging firm in 2007 and we've been building a reputation for creativity and collaboration ever since using our deep bench of experience to bring fresh, thoughtful design to the Pacific Northwest for 15 years.

Ruth Chancellor blazed her own trail in the relatively new industry of home staging which was largely unknown to the masses ("what exactly do you do?"). She had a a truck, some furnishings and a whole lot of grit and grace. Driven by a desire to combine her creative vision, business acumen, and unparalleled work ethic – with a guiding principal of being nice to work with. Today the home staging industry is thriving and we are proud to be an integral part of it.

Our goal is make each project an enjoyable experience for both our team and our clients. When issues arise, we work towards a quick and thoughtful solution that benefits our clients and maintains our integrity. Our team is customer service oriented with the ability to deliver superb staging services that ensure the final project reaches its vision.

Since 2007, Ruth has been at the helm of Chancellor Designs, one of the Portland-metro region’s most recognized and respected staging companies. During this time, Chancellor Designs helped builders, developers and homeowners sell thousands of homes. Through the years, the firm became known for its residential and commercial interior design services. Ruth attributes the company’s success to her love of interior design, her experience as a business analyst, her interest in real estate and to “just being nice.” Ruth and her husband Randy enjoy urban living in Portland’s South Waterfront District. For fun, Ruth loves travel, drinking good wine and enjoying the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Kayce
Wheeler Byrne

Client Services

Kayce is a rare mix of creative and analytical, making her the perfect client services manager. Her background in design and marketing, combined with her passion for client services and project management, allows her to advocate for both the creative team and the client. Kayce enjoys working with a team that is dedicated to producing great work and getting things done. For her, building rapport with clients and having fun along the way is the icing on the cake. When she’s not icing the cake, she’s running, playing tennis, doing yoga, entertaining, or wrangling cats and boys (her two sons and husband).

Shana
McCullough

Staging Manager

A love for the Arts has always been a constant in Shana’s life. The need to cultivate her own creative expression brought her to New York, NY where she obtained her BFA in Photography at the School of Visual Arts. While living in NYC, Shana spent upwards of 15 years in the Fashion Photography industry as a Photography Producer for fortune 500 companies. After moving to the Pacific Northwest, Shana fell deep in love with Interior Design and made the leap into the field. Her love for fashion, color, texture, light, and composition translates to her interior design. She takes the skills she’s obtained from production, fashion, photography & home staging and applies them to the role of Staging Manager.

Katie
Andersen

Associate Designer

Styling and making spaces come to life fuels Katie. She believes the spaces we surround ourselves with have a profound effect on how we feel and and experience our lives. Protecting the environment and animal welfare are central issues in Katie’s life, so she does everything she can to create amazing spaces with that in mind. She is a master pillow chopper, shelfie styling wizard, vintage lover, thrift store shopper and self-described cat lady.

Tia
Morton

Stager

After learning all about color, composition and texture as a floral designer, Tia decided to bring it all together in her position at Chancellor’s staging department. In addition to floral and interior design, Tia has been a farmer on Orcas Island, Washington and worked for celebrated chef Alice Waters. She loves disco balls, R&B music and her cat Bill.

Brian
Van Reyn

With over 8 years of warehouse experience, Bryan brings a calm, thoughtful approach to our warehouse and our team. Whether he’s coaching youth basketball or pursuing his passion of making music, he seeks harmony and creativity. A native Californian, he moved his young family to Portland and fully intends to explore the outdoors at every chance with his two beautiful daughters.

Cody EVANS

As a crew leader for the past five years at Valvoline, one of 12 siblings, and a father of three boys – Cody is well versed in problem-solving, patience and perseverance. A welcome addition to our team, this native Oregonian enjoys working hard, seeing gorgeous homes of all sizes and going the extra mile for teammates and clients, alike. When he isn't making things happen at stages, he enjoys spending time with his wife, sons and friends.
